The desktop version of this messenger is really the main reason why I use their service. The other version in the app store doesnt compare.

Crashes on run on 10.7.5 on two seperate machines, filed a bug report and no response. Dont bother with this if you have 10.7.

Overall seems to work great on 10.11, but it seems to also be updated a lot slower then the windows version.

PLEASE bring secret chat to the desktop client. This should really be on top of your priority list by now, it’s so important. Please please please give us secret chat on desktop.

Would be greatly beneficial if there was a preference to not show tha open application on the dock and only on the toolbar!!!

This post is primarily a response to ninawag posting with request for Secret Message and Auto Delete features available in iOS mobile version. These features are available already in the OS X Client version. I do not know why anyone would want this Telegram Desktop Version as opposed to the version designed specifically for OS X that has all the privacy features, but if your looking for the privacy features, then please do download install the Telegram application for OS X. I too was confused by the presense of two versions that run on OS X.

I’m surprised this client hasn’t been killed yet with the ammount of confusion between the two options. Get the other one!

hi, when open my telegram on macbookPro MJLT2 , this app force closed and show detail of the problem and ican’t use telegram . please please fix this problem . thanks

Downloaded it with higher hopes for office group communications and just found you can only signup with mobile number. What a waste of potential of such a good application. :/ Can’t use it for office group communication now unless I merge it with my personal Telegram. :(

do you mean i shoud reinstall and logout every day to escape from force closing?!!

I’ve been using Telegram Desktop on my mac since 2015 and it’s been great- no problems, works perfectly fine, everything is as usual. But around a week ago it’s started to force quit (crash?) a lot. A lot. A couple seconds after I open the app it force quits. I’ve tried deleting and re-downloading multiple times but it keeps force quitting repeatedly. After a few days I gave up and downloaded Telegram instead. It works perfectly fine. Not really sure what’s wrong, but it would be great if this could be fixed for the desktop version. Thanks :)

The one introduced in last version looks aweful on my 15 retina display. Basically just a dot. Other than that - it’s a keeper.

Been trying to login to my account for 2 weeks and can’t get on, noone will help when I try to contact support. Loved it until now, now I hate it.

this is my favorite messager. it is 10/10, outstanding.
